“With the help of Debbie Kocher and the Varnex team, we were able to promote another excellent marketing seminar.  From start to finish Debbie was there guiding and holding our hands through the process.  We utilized the Microsoft “Launch-in-a-box Sneak Peak Event Kit” to present to about 20 Business leaders over lunch.  We also hosted a speaker focusing on “Positive Thoughts, Positive Speak, Efficient Work-flow”,  the speakers presentation was a nice follow-up to the Office 2010 Efficiency presentation.  HP also provided two tablet PC’s that we loaded with Office 2010 so the attendees could pass around and see the software in action.  The Varnex team and the Varnex vendors continually “STEP-UP” and prove to me, why I am a Varnex member."

VCS

Virtual Communication Specialists (VCS) hosted a Microsoft Office 2010 sneak peak event on May 20. Our partnership with Varnex enabled us to leverage not only Microsoft to assist with the event, but also Sony.

With the help of Microsoft and VARNEX Reseller Marketing Manager, Debbie Kocher, we provided our customers with an electronic invitation and registration link that captured all of their information. The Microsoft “Launch-in-a-Box Sneak Peak Event Kit” came with enough material to host an event for 30 people.

Our initial registration total surpassed that within the first week so we ordered additional pens and giveaway items from Microsoft and printed extra handouts. We also contacted Sony, who sent us two laptops as well as an all-in-one unit on which we loaded Office 2010 for customers to test-drive. With an initial reservation list of over 60, more than 98% of invitees attended.

This event not only helped with our marketing but also enabled us to talk to clients that we had not been able to engage with previously. With most clients still on Office 2000 or 2003, this event educated our customers on why they should upgrade and why they should use VCS to do it.

Our relationship with VARNEX was the key to success with this event. VARNEX continues to provide us with programs to help make us successful and enable us to work with the vendors at a higher level than our competition.
